Lessons Learned from 40 Years of Ministry: Faithfulness Over Perfection

Lessons Learned from 40 Years of Ministry: Faithfulness Over Perfection

By Fannie Mae Killebrew

Introduction

When God first called me into ministry, I could not have imagined the journey that lay ahead. Like many who answer His call, I stepped forward with faith, hope, and a willingness to serve, but with very little understanding of all that God would teach me through the years.

Over four decades, I have witnessed seasons of growth and seasons of challenge. I have celebrated victories, navigated disappointments, rebuilt ministries, encouraged leaders, and watched God remain faithful through it all.

If there is one lesson that rises above all the others, it is this:

God is not looking for perfection. He is looking for faithfulness.

In a world that often measures success by numbers, accomplishments, and recognition, Scripture continually reminds us that God values obedience, perseverance, and a heart that loves God.
